The short version: a Female Draco drawing was documented in 2024. A cluster of Malfoid posts followed in September 2026, with a viral drawing on September 22 and a Reddit crossover on September 29.
Female Draco art appears earlier
@grizz056 shares two drawings imagining Draco Malfoy as a girl. The idea existed before the later Malfoid nickname and meme wave.
A drawing gives the wave a focal point
@redteneri draws Malfoid teasing Harry. Know Your Meme reported approximately 89,000 likes on the post within about a week.
The original artist posts again
@redteneri returns to the idea four days later. The original X post confirms the author and date; the public Know Your Meme chronology does not detail this follow-up.
Harry and Hermione enter the joke
@spaz141 draws Malfoid and Hermione competing over Harry. The fan-made scenario expands the format from character design to familiar relationships.
Another artist adds a new expression
@tns2804 posts a pouting Malfoid drawing, another sign that artists were giving the character different moods and looks.
Three takes on Malfoid circulate together
@masoq095 shares three depictions in one post, making the range of possible interpretations visible at a glance.
The meme crosses into Reddit
A Malfoid meme reaches r/dankmemes. This is a spread beyond X fan-art circles into a larger meme community, not the origin of the character idea.
Know Your Meme documents the wave
The entry brings the posts together as an internet-culture subject. It remains marked as under research and evaluation.
How to read this timeline
The 2024 post is an earlier Female Draco example. The later Malfoid wave grew through several artists on X; the Reddit post marks wider circulation, not a new origin. The approximate engagement figure above is attributed to Know Your Meme at the time of its reporting.
